Looking into America from outside allows for unbiased opinion should commentators strip themselves of ideological leanings.Inheriting an economy in tatters overshadowed by a disfunctional and shy financial system following the momentous events of 2008/9 would challenge any Administration to the brink.

Nearly two years on I believe the US has on balance made a remarkable turnaround. Obviously it will be a considerable while before the economy returns to a footing that impacts the job market relevantly. Lag times cannot be leapfrogged out of thoughtful wishes.

Nevertheless, GM's case - the long-standing flagship of American business and symbol of its now fading industrial might - is perhaps the best example that the Obama Administration has been/is unfailingly pro-business.

It is not just for government but also for America's business and investor circles to decide how they want to make money in an ever changing globalized world of multifold challenges.

To even suggest Obama is somehow unbecoming towards business is defeated by overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Mending America after its close brush with financial and economic collapse was never going to be quick and easy.

America is a country so many other countries in the world have used as model. You have shown the world what it means to work as a team, work now as a team to keep up the american dream. america needs all americans to come on board to salvage this situation. what you are going through are challenges, and isnt it boring life without challenges.Obama loves america and will do all he can to bring that change. CHANGE is tough, americans signed him on for the change. Just pray for him and america

When GM is saved and exepected to be sold in the near future. When the banks are saved and then sold off. When the health care system is saved from collapse and there remains no public option. When strict financial reform is not passed and banks continue to find loopholes... it's really quite blind to say that Obama is not business friendly. He an his team have gone to incredible lengths to preserve our economic system. If anything he has not gone far enough to set fair rules for the market to operate efficiently by. Instead it distorts itself with unsustainable risky business practices and continues to hold back growth and prosperity.

President Obama has been elected with overwhelming votes from the American people and for sure majority of them are not big business or bank owners. The people have also seen how previous Republican Government of President Bush pampered those big boys at the cost of common people. Owners of Big business, financial institutions, etc get richer every year at the misery of the common people. President Obama inherited the Economic melt down situation and has been sincerely working to first arrest the causes of economic disaster and secondly to protect his vast electorates who elected him. The measures in the short term is no doubt painful but that fits in well with the long term viability of US financial health.

At the moment America is laden with debts and most of those treasury billa are owned by Chinese and other overseas government. If those countries at any point behave as US banks and financial institutions do with their borowers like foreclosing, it wont be a pleasing situation for Americans. President Obama is trying to work out for the people of America not the vested interests which have so long been reigning.
